2. About the course

Staying Safe Online: A Guide for Tunisian Adolescents and Parents is a self-paced online course for parents, caregivers, and adolescents aged 13-17, designed to raise awareness and build participants’ skills to interact online safely, mitigate risks, and respond to potential harms.

This course is divided into two tracks:

  • One dedicated to adolescents, which aims to give adolescents the tools to manage and mitigate potential risks and harms, and develop digital resilience to navigate the internet with confidence and safety.
  • One dedicated to parents and caregivers, which aims to build parents and caregivers' knowledge of online risks and potential harms and provide guidance on how and when to intervene to ensure children’s online safety.

Course duration

The course is expected to take 2 hours to complete.


3. Course objective and structure

Course objective 


By the end of the course adolescents, parents and caregivers will have built digital literacy, being able to recognise, mitigate and respond to online risks and threats. Additionally, parents and caregivers will have the tools and knowledge to approach adolescents about online risks and harms, ensuring their safety.
